Are the grilles paintable?

Yes. Only latex or water based paint should be used.

How do I know which one I need?

There are 2 sizes. Smaller bathrooms should require no more than CV-DS6090 units (60-90 CFM). Larger bathrooms should use CVDS90120 (90-120 CFM) ventilation fan units.

I am going to have my own lighting. Can I get ventilation only?

Yes. Each is available with nightlight/room light or as ventilation fan only.

How does your installation differ from others?

Crystal Ventilation units mounts to ceiling joists. Two brackets slide out to of the sides to meet the other ceiling joist and mount. This is a very easy adjustable system.

Is it easy to hook up the electrical connection?

Yes, BUT your electrical contracting professional can easily follow the instructions but the dual speed fan, light and night light models have several color coded connections which may be too complicated for someone not familiar with electrical work.

How does your installation vary from others?

None. Our unit mounts to a ceiling joist with the unit side mounted well and the other side two brackets slide out to meet the other ceiling joist and mount. This is very special as it is the easiest.

Is your electrical hookup different?

Yes and NO. Your electrical professional can easily follow the instruction but the dual speed fan, bathroom fan light and night light models have several color coded connections which may be too complicated for a home owner.

Does the unit contain a damper for preventing backflow?

Yes it is on the back of the unit. Care should be taken to make sure that it operates unimpeded.

Why do you have dual speed ventilation?

People often choose a size which is slightly smaller then their actual needs, either for cost savings or because the bathroom is at border of 2 sizes. With our units you can change the CFM by selecting the speed. Also there are times when you need to evacuate either more moisture than at other times.

If my needs are 90 CFM which unit should I order?

Either one will meet your needs but the larger will handle the 90CFM functions more quietly than the 60-90 at the higher speed.

Note for Distributors: The two sizes allow a reduction in necessary inventory to achieve 95% of all residential fan needs. In the future, interchangeable style grates separately packaged will allow an inventory dollar reduction while maximizing sales potential and turns of inventory.

How quiet are your fans?

Our product is being independently tested. It seems that they are as quiet as those with the very best reputation. The product is being tested for standard sone and power ratings.
